The world has been slumped with the rampant novel coronavirus that has claimed many lives in the world. To combat the spread of the coronavirus the world leaders initiated lockdowns in every aspect of the economy.

This has led to the closure of many businesses along with some casinos in Ohio. Since the start of lockdown in the USA, many casinos in Ohio have not been operating. And that has led to massive losses economically.

Nevertheless, the Ohio State has recorded 38,476 and 2,377 deaths ever since the eruption of the virus. But these numbers did not change the mind of the state Governor. Mike DeWine went on and announce the reopening of businesses and casinos.

This announcement came after the state casinos and businesses closed doors in mid-March in the wake of the global pandemic. The Ohio states consist of four complete casinos. These include Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati and Toledo along with seven racinos, which were closed on March 14.

However, with no gambling money coming into the coffers, casinos are now falling nearly $400 million behind last year when it comes to revenue generation.

The gaming revenues through generated during the end of May amounted to $410.8 million a massive low from $810 million in the same period in 2019.

The casinos in Ohio took off last month without any players within the casino premises. Rather gamblers were recommended to place their bets online.

Different Gambling Experience at Ohio Casinos

The gambling experience that is being offered by the casinos and racinos in Ohio will offer a different experience like what patrons were used to prior to the coronavirus pandemic crisis.

The casinos’ properties will be required to follow all the safety rules to prevent gamblers and casino croupiers from being exposed to the deadly virus. These safety rules have been put in place by the authorities.

Under the safety rules, most casinos and racinos employees will have to stay six feet apart only if a barrier is used across the casino properties. Moreover, they will also have to use facemasks or any other form of facial coverings.

In addition, casinos and racinos will have to make sure that they scan anyone entering their gambling premises. This is to make sure that the visitors do not have Covid-19 symptoms. To maintain a hygienic place gambling space will be required to remove some seats at the gaming table and close some slot machines.

This is to provide the required social distance between patrons and the casinos’ croupiers.
