William Hill has introduced its plan to unveil a USA online casino during the second half of the year. The sportsbook giant has witnessed its United States net revenues dropping by 90% ever since the cancellation of sports events whilst its retail footprint shut down entirely. On the other hand, the sportsbook company indicate that it has been using the downtime very wisely.
“Product development has accelerated throughout the period, and we will be launching online casinos in the second half of the year,” the sports betting company highlighted during the trading update on Friday.
William Hill to Expand USA Online Gambling Space
Whilst William Hill online casino will surely make its debut in New Jersey, the CEO Ulrik Bengtsson highlighted that they are going to finally launch in every state in which it’s legal to have online gambling. This will surely make states like Pennsylvania and Michigan the next reasonable destination.
Gambling analysts asked Bengtsson about the tech along with the brand for the product, but he went on and remain silent on that issue. However, he has previously suggested a casino brand will surely bear the William Hill brand through its partnership with CBS Sports.
“Casino will be helpful as we go on without sports,” Bengtsson said.
“I’ve seen the first demo of the product and I’m confident it will be ready soon.
“The regulatory approvals are the unknown and the reason we are being cautious in saying the second half of the year. But it will be a good product and very competitive.”
